2015 has been a momentous year for Apple. With new hardware and software releases as well as enhancements to their deployment programs, Apple is making a conscious effort to go beyond individual consumers and reach more businesses and schools around the world.
With the introduction of the Device Enrolment Program (DEP) and Device Based VPP App Enrolments for iOS and Mac, it’s clear that Apple’s investment into Enterprise is only going to get bigger throughout 2016.
Apple teamed up with IBM this year to roll out Mac adoption across the technology and consulting giant, using JAMF Casper Suite. With Mac continuing to outgrow the overall PC market, it’s no surprise that Apple continues to make inroads in enterprise. IBM’s company wide adoption of Apple could prove a solid test subject for other companies considering the move, even if the idea of IBM adopting Apple products seemed utterly unthinkable just a decade or two ago.
